Member Tests Positive for COVID-19

We just received information that a member has tested positive for COVID-19 who attended the past General meeting on Tuesday, March 17th. Airing on the side of caution, anyone at that meeting could have been exposed. The membership's health and safety is a priority, and Local 1049 wants to make sure everyone who attended that meeting is informed. We cannot give out personal information because of the HIPAA laws designed to protect workers privacy on these matters. If you also attended the meeting and are feeling symptoms, please consult your physician. Protocols have been set up for streamlining testing procedures and its important to speak with healthcare professionals in the event you are experiencing symptoms.

As more information becomes available we will make that available from our frequent communications with our employers who like all of us, are following the direction of respective authorities.
