Tentative Agreement Reached at Home Serve

Brothers and Sisters,
Yesterday, the IBEW 1049 Main Negotiation Committee met with HomeServe’s Negotiation Team to discuss important issues that have been the catalyst for the employer to Lock Out our members. After numerous hard bargaining sessions, we are pleased to announce that the negotiation teams have mutually agreed to a tentative agreement.
We will be hosting an informational meeting and secret ballot vote on Thursday, September 23rd at 10:00 AM at the Hall for members employed at HomeServe. At this informational meeting, HomeServe members will be provided with a copy of the summary of matters and have an opportunity to ask questions about this tentative agreement. Once the tentative contract has been ratified, they will return to work on Friday morning. Your vote is your voice….don't let others make your decision for you. Come to the meeting, get the information and make your choice.
Please don't listen to rumors. You will be given all the facts at this important informational meeting. As a Union member, it is your duty to yourself and your family, as well as your brothers and sisters you work with, to attend this important meeting.
Let me close by saying this, I am so proud of all of you for what you have done here. Your courage, dedication to each other, sheer determination and grit have been an inspiration for all of the members of our great local union. Together we have made tremendous strides here and we have forged a new and promising future for us and those who will join us. I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday.
