On Friday we thanked our veterans and honored all of the men and women who have put their lives on the line to defend our way of life. Veteran's Day is celebrated on November 11th commensurate with the end of World War I. It was during that bloody conflict American Soldiers and Marines traveled to Europe to uphold the values of civilization against the intrusion of force and aggression. Our citizen soldiers have traveled to all parts of the globe to defend our freedom, protect our nation and bring the values that we as Americans hold so dear to other parts of the world. I would like to thank the members of IBEW Local 1049 and their families who are veterans. It is because of you that we have the freedom to join our union, speak out against injustice, and to practice our religion as we see fit. Thank you to all who served and remember all who never made it home.
