Summer Safety

While the thoughts of many turn to BBQs and beaches, we think about safety. School is out, so there are more kids on the streets where we're driving and working, so keep an eye out and keep them, and yourself, safe.  Long, hot days are ahead so protect yourself, keep cool, stay hydrated, apply sunscreen and take breaks as needed. Keep all this in mind when you are at work, at home, or away. Happy 4th of July to one and all! - James Brown

Happy Retirement Billy, John, and Charlie

On June 26, I had the privilege of attending a retirement celebration of three long term members employed at PSEGLI in the Sub-Station Maintenance Department. Bill Huber and John Hillen celebrated their retirement and all of us recognized and honored Charlie Kunze, who is on LTD, along with over 140 brother and sister union members. Let's all wish Billy, John, and Charlie good fortune on their journey forward. - Ron Bauer

Homeserve and PPO

Summer is here and we are starting to gear up for a new contract with Homeserve. We sent out our surveys to all Homeserve workers and received a great response from the  surveys. Also had a meeting to review all surveys and just review all work rules pertaining to our members. Really good to see all our members active with the pending contract. To all PPO worker who are in summer mode after a long overhaul season has come  to a close: Thanks for all the hard work and most important the safety performance. - Stephen Borrelli

Remember Those Who Sacrificed

On this upcoming holiday weekend I hope we all have a happy and safe 4th.  Please keep in mind what the 4th of July is all about, and remember those who have sacrificed, past and present that have made this the greatest country in the world. - Bryan Hughes
