IBEW Local 1049 was honored to visit Lindenhurst High School yesterday to present PPE to students enrolled in their trade programs. This vital initiative advances opportunities for students by integrating a CTE endorsement with their high school diplomas, setting them on a path to careers in carpentry, operations, HVAC, and more. Over the next three years, IBEW Local 1049 is proud to commit to providing these students with hard helmets, safety glasses, safety vests, and gloves.

In attendance from Local 1049 were our Business Manager Pat Guidice, President Jim Cooper, and Jerome Bost, Director of Government Affairs and Communications.

We extend a special thank you to the Presiding Officer of the Suffolk County Legislature, Kevin McCaffrey, for the invitation and his unwavering commitment to the high school. His collaboration has been essential in advocacy and securing the necessary support for the high school and program.
