IBEW 1049 MEMBERS Contract vote results
Brothers and Sisters,
The voting period on the contract between IBEW Local 1049 and National Grid concluded on Thursday, March 6th. The ballots have been tallied and certified by the judge and election board.
Please note, voided ballots are not included in total votes. Below are the official votes:
Total Votes: 869
ACCEPT: 252
REJECT- 617
Void: 13
With a majority of the vote rejecting the contract, IBEW 1049 has formally notified National Grid of our intent to immediately re-enter negotiations.
On behalf of the IBEW 1049 negotiations team, I want to express my gratitude for your patience and support through this process. We remain committed to securing the best possible collective bargaining agreement for our membership.
